Anyone who has experienced a Jewish life cycle event can testify to the vital role rabbis play in the Jewish community.
Whether at a brit milah, bar or bat mitzvah, wedding, funeral or consecration, rabbis are there to offer their compassionate support and to ensure that the experiences of Jewish traditions which are so important in our lives are imbued with the warm spirit of our holy Torah.
The Rabbinical Council of Victoria aims at encouraging its member rabbis to provide the highest level of professionalism in their duties as communal rabbis. It offers member rabbis leadership programs as well as training courses in the areas of pastoral care and counselling.
We welcome suggestions and feedback from the community and hope our rabbis will continue to provide the integral services the community so richly deserves.
