The Rabbinical Council of Victoria (RCV) and the Community Security Group (CSG) recently organized a special self-defence training session for Melbourne based Rabbis.
The RCV and CSG continue to have a strong working relationship and both understand the important role the Rabbis have in not only providing spiritual leadership but also in supporting the CSG in doing their crucial work. The RCV plans to organize more of these events with the CSG in the future including providing emergency response training and sessions specifically for Rebbetzins.
RCV President, Rabbi Daniel Rabin said the training was excellent and provided the Rabbis with some very useful self-defence skills. " The men and women of CSG do an incredible job in protecting our community and we appreciate all their efforts. We look forward to further training focussed on our role in assisting the CSG in their community work whilst at the same time learning some valuable safety skills."
